Plug'n Go Stations
Park and charge-up while you take care of your necessaries.
We’re serious about playing our part to support the widespread adoption of plug-in electric vehicles. The proof is in the public charging stations. We’ve installed three of them in Vermont so far. To help make them even more sustainable, we also installed solar arrays to provide enough renewable power to meet the annual demand of the electric vehicles for the next three years. We told you we were serious.
Where you can plug in
Today’s commercially available electric vehicles require multiple hours to fully charge. With that in mind, we located the following charging stations in publicly visible and easily accessible parking spaces where people are likely to spend time. We are pleased to advance our vision with partners who have agreed to be host locations:
How the stations work
The GMP Plug’N Go charging stations are equipped with Levels 1 and 2 charging capability, which can provide charging for any plug-in vehicle available on the market today.
The station will remain inactive until an authorized user accesses his or her account via a credit card, ChargePoint Smart Card, or phone call to the customer service number on every ChargePoint charging station. Swiping or keypunching your pin will activate the cord. All ChargePoint charging systems, regardless of owner or location, can be accessed this way.
Once authorized, the driver will gain access to the charging cord and can plug it in to his or her vehicle. If you are a frequent user, we encourage you to set up a ChargePoint account here. For detailed instructions on how to use the charging station, click here.
Worried you might forget those instructions? Worry no longer. Each charging station has a 1-800 number for Coulumb Technologies, the maker of the station, if you need service or to report any problems. Coulumb’s service staff will walk you through the process and resolve any problems.
Locating additional stations
You can locate charging stations online or with an app on your mobile phone; both will provide you with the specific location. To locate Chargepoint stations nationwide using the online app, or to learn more the about mobile apps, click here.
About charging station equipment
After a long and deliberate search, we chose the Coulumb Technologies Chargepoint network charging stations provided by distributor Green Power Technology. This industry leader met our performance requirements and project objectives for both public and home systems. Not only do these systems provide communication and safety equipment required for the stations, they have a thriving online system that allows electric vehicle drivers to check station availability and sign up for texts or communications to let them know the status of the charge of their vehicle.
