We're ready to put our money where our mouth is.
We have developed service quality standards and service guarantees in concert with the Vermont Public Service Board. As part of these guarantees, we monitor many different aspects of our performance and agree to meet quality benchmarks.
For example, we monitor how quickly we answer the phone when you call. We track how accurately we read your meter. We track power outages and how quickly we are able to restore power.
Then we self-report. And third-party Vermont regulators assess whether we are meeting our benchmarks. The Vermont Public Service Board calls our initiative "a solid initial service quality and reliability plan, the first such comprehensive plan for an electric utility in Vermont."
When we fall short, we make good on our promises.
For example, if we don't complete an electric service installation within five days of the promised delivery date, we give you $25. These and other guarantees are described at the link below.
When we miss a deadline, you automatically receive the money without having to ask for it. That money comes from Green Mountain Power shareholders, and is not included in future rates.
At Green Mountain Power, we're serious about service. We're proving it.
