Stafford Hill Solar Farm
On December 11, 2012, Green Mountain Power issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to build a ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) generating facility on a 15 acre parcel in the City of Rutland.
GMP's goal is to install the highest megawatt (MW) system possible while effectively balancing lifecycle costs. A preliminary estimate suggests that the development can accomodate in excess of 2 MW connected PV capacity.
GMP will own, operate and maintain the project, to be known as the "Stafford Hill Solar Farm." The target date for the project to be fully operational is August 2, 2014.
